Joshua Ollett
Josh has been with Merchants since February 2023. He works to build strong relationships and his goal is to always exceed the customer’s expectations.Q: Can you tell us a bit about your background and what brought you to merchants.ca?
A: I have known merchants for roughly 8 years before my very first interview. I knew that merchants was a business that was respectful and team driven. I couldn't think of a better place to work.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: I enjoy walks, family gatherings, and hanging out with my cat, Oscar
Q: Do you have any hobbies or interests that you’d like to share?
A: I love to craft and make things from wood.
Q: How long have you been in sales and what has your journey been like?
A: I have been in sales for a year and a half now and every day is something new. There are ups and downs, but being the foundation for your customer is a duty I hold dear to my heart.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role at merchants.ca?
A: The "behind the scenes" of companies that a customer would only be able to see the front of. Being able to really dive into customers history and how they run their business is awe inspiring
Q: What is your favorite part of working with merchants.ca customers?
A: Being their friend, not just their sales rep.
Q: How do you approach building relationships with your customers?
A: I always want to start any relationship with a customer on the right foot. I try to always come off as friendly and approachable, someone you can laugh with. They are not just my customers, they are my friends
Q: What do you believe makes you successful in your role?
A: My reliability. Whenever my customers are in a pinch, I am there with a solution the same day.
Q: What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
A: I saved my cat, Oscar, from a terrible storm when he was still a stray.

A: To grow both my territory and position in Merchants.

A: Quality service, product, and price.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: Antarctica, to explore the beautiful landscape.

A: The One and Only Ivan, a short book filled with more emotions than I can handle.
